Studio

Who we are.

Deepcurrent Studio from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Young, but with a clear direction.

Origin

Schwerin, April 2025.

Deepcurrent Studio was founded in April 2025 in Schwerin. René-Maik Reuter had an idea for a game. He built the concept, developed the world and the structure behind it, and brought in the right people to make it real. Since then, we've been working together to turn Echoes of Myran into a finished game.

Who we are

A team from MV.

Our core team consists of twelve developers with diverse backgrounds: game design, 3D art, programming, sound, community and more. All of them share the same conviction about what this game should be.

Why we make games

Because worlds don't let go.

René-Maik Reuter designed Echoes of Myran as the game he wanted to play but couldn't find. A world that stayed long after the screen went dark. Warcraft. The Witcher. Games you don't just check off a list. That's exactly what we want to create: something that stays.

Our philosophy

Quality over speed.

We'd rather make the better decision than the faster one. Every detail in Echoes of Myran should have a reason, none of them just because it's conventional.

That takes time. In return, we're not building a game that's forgotten in six months.

Background

Not the first time.

René-Maik Reuter didn't start building games with Deepcurrent. He has worked inside studios, seen how they function from the inside, and learned what separates a good idea from a finished game.

Echoes of Myran isn't a first project. It's the project everything before was leading up to.

Technology

Unreal Engine 5.

Myran needs an engine that can grow with it. Unreal Engine 5 gives us the tools to build a world that feels like a real one.

What comes next

Prototype. Then everything else.

Echoes of Myran is being built right now. What you see here is the beginning: the world, the factions, the concept. The game waiting behind it is bigger than what we can show yet.

Community

Follow the development.

Echoes of Myran is being built in public. Join Discord, follow the process, and become part of a community that knows why this game exists before it even launches.
